1. Who we are

Shopral is a service operated by SAMALIFE SARL (Rue NG 96, Ngor Almadies, Dakar, Senegal). Shopral connects customers, merchants and couriers for ordering and delivering products. This policy applies to our three mobile apps — Shopral (customer), Shopral Pro (merchant) and Shopral Driver — and to shopral.com. For any question about your data: [email protected].

2. Data we collect

  • Account: first and last name, phone number, email (optional), password (encrypted) and/or one-time login code (OTP) sent by SMS.
  • Customer (Shopral): delivery addresses, order history, reviews, chosen payment method, optional profile photo.
  • Merchant (Shopral Pro): business info, catalog and stock, sales and payouts, product and invoice photos, Mobile Money payout number.
  • Courier (Shopral Driver): vehicle, ID and license documents (verification), profile photo (visible to the merchant and customer during a trip), Mobile Money payout number, trip and earnings history.
  • Location: see section 3.
  • Payment: we never store card numbers or full bank details; online payments are handled by our providers (Wave, Orange Money, PayDunya). Cash on delivery is also available.
  • Device & usage: device type, technical identifiers, error logs and — with your consent — a push notification token.

3. Location

  • Customer: your location is used while the app is open ("when in use") to show nearby shops and calculate delivery fees and times. You may decline and enter your address manually.
  • Courier: when you go "Online", your location may be shared in the background to offer nearby jobs, guide delivery and let the customer track the order live. Location sharing stops when you go offline or log out.
  • You can withdraw location permission at any time in your phone settings.

4. Why we use your data

  • Create and manage your account, and sign you in (password or SMS code).
  • Process, deliver and track orders, coordinating customer, merchant and courier.
  • Calculate delivery fees and times from location.
  • Process payments and pay out merchants and couriers.
  • Verify courier identity (documents) for everyone's safety.
  • Contact you (confirmation, tracking, support, password reset) by SMS, notification or email.
  • Prevent fraud, ensure security and improve the service.

5. Sharing your data

Your data is shared only with the parties needed to fulfill your order: the relevant merchant, the assigned courier (name, photo and delivery address for the duration of the trip), and the customer (courier name and photo for tracking). We never sell your personal data and do not use it for third-party advertising.

6. Third-party providers

We rely on trusted providers, solely to run the service: SMS (login codes), Mobile Money payment (Wave, Orange Money, PayDunya), maps and geocoding (Google Maps), image storage (profile, product, invoice and document photos), push notifications (Apple, Google) and hosting. They only access the data needed for their task.

7. Transfers outside Senegal

Some of our technical providers (hosting, storage, notifications) may process data outside Senegal. Where this happens, we ensure appropriate safeguards.

8. Retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active, then for as long as necessary to meet our legal and accounting obligations. You can delete your account at any time from the app (Profile / Settings) or via shopral.com/supprimer-compte. Some data may be kept anonymized or to meet legal obligations (billing, fraud prevention).

9. Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your data, and withdraw your consent (location, notifications) from your phone or app settings. To exercise these rights, email us at [email protected].

10. Security

Communications with our servers are encrypted (HTTPS/TLS); passwords and PIN codes are stored hashed, and session tokens in the phone's secure store. We apply technical and organizational measures to protect your data.

11. Children

Shopral is not intended for people under 16 years of age.

12. Changes

This policy may change. The last update date is shown below; we will notify you of significant changes.
